About Me
Despite several career shifts, storytelling has remained faithful to me (no pun intended). Growing up, I aspired to become a journalist, "just like Oprah," shedding light on stories to serve and uplift vulnerable populations worldwide. My dream of becoming a journalist stayed consistent until my junior year of college when I changed my major to nursing.
Now, as a nurse, humanitarian, and storyteller my goal remains the same. Whether aiding victims of human trafficking in the United States or supporting refugee children in the Middle East, I have discovered how many powerful stories are overshadowed and forgotten. Thankfully, my diverse experiences have transformed my perspective from that of an observer to a servant, enabling me to incorporate diverse narratives into my work to amplify underrepresented voices worldwide.
Outside of writing and serving others, you can find my head in a book, eating something scrumdiddlyumptious, traveling the world, learning a new language (I speak English, Spanish, and Italian), or cracking a joke (seriously, humor is my blood type). I am also working on my first poetry collection, set to launch in the spring of 2025.
"Being a bystander in my generation would the greatest act of injustice against myself and my purpose."
